How trading works here

What actually happens when you buy or sell

Skinport is a marketplace between users — it does not buy your item off you. But it is not a direct trade with the buyer either: when you list, the item moves into Skinport's own bots and waits there until someone buys it. That means it leaves your inventory when you list, not when you sell. Buying is instant. The fee comes off the sale, so the number you list at is not the number you receive.

Items must be tradable; Skinport auto-delivers from seller inventories, so Steam trade holds still apply to freshly traded items.

Sellers withdraw to bank/PayPal in EUR; payouts are batched and can take a few business days.

What it is built for

  • Real-money payouts to a bank account, not wallet credit
  • High liquidity on popular rifles and knives
  • Prices in EUR, which suits European sellers

Things to know

  • Your item sits in Skinport's inventory until a buyer takes it — not an instant sale
  • Payout verification can add days on a first withdrawal

How to trade on Skinport

What you actually have to do, step by step. Every step links to the page it was checked against.

Skinport is a German-operated cash marketplace: you list skins, a Skinport bot holds them, and when they sell the money goes to your bank account rather than a Steam wallet. Selling is the heavy path — you must build a seller account, pass Adyen-run KYC tiers before payouts release, and live inside Steam's 7-day trade lock on both ends. Buying is lighter (cart, card/PayPal/Apple Pay, then a bot trade offer), but sale proceeds are a payout-only balance you cannot spend back on the site.
