How trading works here
What actually happens when you buy or sell
A swap site: you trade skins for other skins or for balance, priced by the site rather than by another player.
Trade-based; Steam 7-day hold applies to received items.
What it is built for
- Instant swaps, with a named US legal entity behind it
Things to know
- We hold NO prices for this market at all — it is not part of our price history, so nothing here is a quote
- We connect to it only for account linking
How to trade on SkinSwap
What you actually have to do, step by step. Every step links to the page it was checked against.
SkinSwap is a Steam-login instant-trade site: you sign in with Steam, connect a trade URL and make your inventory public, then either sell skins to the site for a cash payout, swap them against SkinSwap's own stock, or buy from a Market that mixes instant bot delivery with P2P listings from external sellers. Cash balance can be topped up by card, crypto or gift card, and sell payouts go to PayPal, Venmo or crypto after Steam's 7-day trade-protection window. Most of what goes wrong is Steam-side timing — the mobile authenticator waiting period, trade holds, and P2P sellers who never send — and items caught by any of that land in an on-site Backpack rather than being lost.
