Funds are locked to your Steam Wallet and can NEVER be withdrawn to real money — Steam is a closed loop.

The Steam Community Market is built into Steam itself: you sell straight out of your own inventory and everything settles in Steam Wallet funds, so there is no separate account, no trade offer to a bot, and no cash-out. Getting access is the hard part — Valve gates the Market on account history (a qualifying purchase older than 7 days but under a year, Steam Guard enabled for 15 days, and at least $5.00 USD spent so the account is not "limited"), and without a Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator that has been on the account for 7 days, every listing you create is held by Steam for up to 15 days before it goes live. Money only ever moves in one direction: proceeds land in your Steam Wallet and Valve states they cannot be withdrawn or transferred to a bank or another account.
